Updates from YourBagTag

Scuba Zipper Pull ID Tags 0

Our laser engraving machine gives us the capability to create really fun tags for your gear bags, BCD, wetsuit and more. Our zipper pull ID tags are an inexpensive way to really get your gear to stand out. Are you leading a dive trip in the future? Think about giving each of your dive travel clients one of these brightly colored tags.

The tags are approximately 1 inch wide by 1.9 inches long. They can even be personalized with your logo depending on the size and complexity (additional cost). Designs must be capable of one-color line art like the examples above. Here is an example of this tag with a custom logo engraved on it.

Personalized Wetsuit ID Tags 0

We have just created a new personalized wetsuit ID tag that you can easily attach to your wetsuit with the provided zip tie. Our wetsuit ID tag makes picking your wetsuit out of a crowded resort drying locker a snap! These fun tags can be personalized with up to 10 letters for your name, initials or nickname. Dive trip leaders may even choose to add a small trip detail in the space at the bottom of the tank boot. The tags come in a variety of colors and are approximately 1” X 3”. You can check them out in our website store.

Barcode Equipment Tags 0

When we attended the Diving Equipment Marketing Association (DEMA) last fall, we had a number of requests for making laser-engraved barcode equipment tags. We immediately came back and tried unsuccessfully to make them. We couldn't get the laser beam focused small enough to cut the fine detail of the barcode lines.

Recently we purchased an additional lens for our laser that allows us to engrave with a beam half the size of our previous lens. Success! We can now engrave barcodes on our equipment tags. The barcode equipment tags must be at least 1.75 inches in diameter. We can ever fit another line or two of text above the code. Tags are made of 2 ply plastic - the top layer is white and we engrave to reveal the black layer below. The back of the tag is black. The barcode engraved on the sample tag in the photo is Code 128 - it allows for alpha and numeric characters.

Our standard scuba equipment tag is 1.5 inches in diameter or about the size of a 50¢ piece and 1/16 inch thick. The tag is made of industrial outdoor plastic sign material that has been manufactured in the USA to stand up to the elements. Do you need have serialized numbers - no problem. We can also make them a different size. Our tags come in a variety of colors so you could even color code them for sizes or types of equipment. The photo above was taken of a custom set of tags we made for No Limits Scuba in Arizona.

Special pricing is available for dive shops, dive clubs, resorts, or groups that may be interested in ordering 50 or more at time. Please contact us directly with such request or give us a call.

YourBagTag Scuba Gear on Location in Bonaire 0

The photo above is the wetsuit drying locker at Buddy Dive Resort on Bonaire. It is a great facility but it is a lot like the baggage carousel at the airport - all the wetsuits tend to look the same. The idea for our YourZipTag came from a previous trip to Buddy Dive in 2007. Our family just spent a week in Bonaire over the Christmas holiday week. This trip we stayed at the Belmar Apartments. They also have a wonderful dive setup and the dive shop/operation is affiliated with Buddy Dive.

The house reef “Sara Smiles” is quite nice and a great first dive spot and certainly a great place for night diving. We saw octopus, slipper lobster, and coronet fish to name just a few.The staff at the Belmar was so helpful. We will definitely be going back.

New Scuba BC Slate Name Tag 0

Many of our products begin as ideas or suggestions that come from you, our customers. Our new Scuba BC Slate Name Tag is no exception. The idea for this tag came straight from the Diving Equipment Manufacturers Association (DEMA) trade show floor. A dive shop and resort owner came up to our booth on the show floor and said, “We love your embroidered BC name tags, is there any way you could make one that we could write on with a grease pencil?” The BC Slate Name Tag was born. Dive shops, resorts, and live-aboards can now enjoy the same benefits of being able to quickly identify their students or guests when they are all in the same kind of dive gear. The BC Slate Name Tag is made with the same tough 2 inch polypropylene webbing as our standard BC tag and comes with a white or yellow matte plastic slate material that measures 2.5 inches wide by 1.75 inches tall. The slate is attached to the webbing by a marine adhesive and 4 nylon rivets.

The slate can be engraved with up to 2 lines of laser-engraved text. Wholesale pricing is available.
